Q – is for Quality Spotlight – “The Marsh Madness” by Victoria Abbott

Yes! Fourth book in The Book Collector Mystery series – “The Marsh Madness” – is coming out in September 2015 🙂 And I have the honour to try to present it here, on my blog, in this post under the letter Q – for Quality Spotlight! 🙂

About the book:MarshMadness

Researcher Jordan Bingham works hard to improve her boss, Vera Van Alst’s, collection of classic detective stories. So when Chadwick Kauffman—heir to the Kauffman fortune—offers a very good price on a fine collection of Ngaio Marsh first editions owned, she is thrilled to meet with him for lunch at his fabled summer estate, Summerlea.

The day after their visit, Jordan and Vera are shocked to read that Chadwick has died in a fall from the grand staircase at Summerlea. There’s more shock in store as it becomes clear that the ladies are victims of a scam.  The victim was not the man they met.  The books were not his to sell. Nothing is what it seemed. The evidence points to one of them as the killer.  And they’ll have to unmask the imposter fast, because someone is trying to frame them for murder…

About the Author(s) :

MJ and Vic and peachy scarf reverse

Victoria Abbott is a collaboration between the always very funny and creative artist, photographer and short story author, Victoria Maffini and her mother, Mary Jane Maffini, award-winning author of three mystery series and two dozen short stories. Together they write the Book Collector Mysteries. Mary Jane’s two miniature dachshunds are understandably outraged that a pug and some Siamese cats have wiggled their way into the series, and now a pug has weaseled her way into Victoria’s home.  At least there’s lots of good food for people and pooches.

  1. I like the play on phrase there. 🙂 And it sounds interesting!

  2. Ohhh, interesting! I’m going to follow the links and start googling to learn more about you two and your books. Also want to know how you write together, etc. 🙂 Does one do the plotting? One do the actually writing? Or do you look over each other’s shoulder and do it together? Congrats on book 4!!

  3. How cool that she writes with her mother!
