“Uprooting Ernie” by Pamela Burford – review

Oh what a fun read! I mean – a good mystery, the “whodunit” cleverly put and not obvious, but developing nicely. Full of surprises – about half way through the book everything seemed to be clear, (though I was not convinced – still I thought, ok, now what?) just to be surprised, after turning the page, with a new development on the case.

There are some seriously superb ideas in this book! The names especially – I mean, how not to love Sexy Beast, the most … adorable, lovable purse-sized doggie in the world, who just happens to be a millionaire, owning a mansion for his house…
And his human, Death Diva (aka Jane Delaney)? Come on, admit you’re smiling at this point. 🙂 Btw. – Jane owns a small business in the very prominent area, lets say… very unusual business, that has something to do with dead people… and I`ll leave it at that 😀
Yeah, lots of good chuckles, a bit of nail-biting suspense, a love… triangle of sorts, or at least a good dilemma in the subject – all my faves when it comes to a good cozy mystery!!!

Really entertaining book!!! Two thumbs up! 🙂
