H is for…

Hope…

the one that still holds your head up

when everything else

stepped into nothingness…

the one that holds your hand

so you can still walk

when there is no strength in your step…

the one that opens your eyes

that makes you notice beauty around

so you could fill your inner emptiness

with love of creation…

…so you could keep going…

living…

and – yes

one day – smiling…

On the Boardwalk…

IMG_0616

meet me one day

on the boardwalk

as I slowly stroll

passing by the wall of silver birch trees…

IMG_0784

meet me on the boardwalk

as I sit on wooden bench…

-look, water is so smooth

…how precious the view….

IMG_0999

meet me on the boardwalk

as I watch the light show…

sun setting behind the islands

paints everything around

using its own palette of colours…

I’ll be there, I promise

waiting for you

…should you ever miss me enough

to come looking for me…

Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge – #1: Like a River…

IMG_0188

let me be like a river

free and strong

my eyes your reflection

so clear, so deep…

my love rinsing away any impurities

any dust or sorrow of your day

let me be your lullaby

the last whisper of the day

your rest

your peace…

Did I mention before? I love challenges 😀 This time I was nominated by Ula (Confessions of a Broccoli Addict) to the “Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge”, the rules of which are:
1) Post a photo each day for five consecutive days.
2) Attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or a short paragraph. It’s entirely up to the individual.
3) Nominate another blogger to carry on the challenge. Your nominee is free to accept or decline the invitation. This is fun, not a command performance!

Therefore I nominate Iris B., Kim Cooper and Joan Somers 🙂

Have fun!

your hand…

IMG_9608

my hand in yours
it fits so perfectly
creating sweet oneness

please don’t let go
I will get lost
in this strange place…

where
you can`t hear goodness
over evil screams

where
beauty is covered
in mud of ugliness

where
people forgot
the simple things

with my hand in yours
I can tune out the evil
shower the mud off

I can remember…
